Discovery diving this Aug.

Hi All,
I will be diving with Discovery this Aug. (23 day's but who's counting!!!)
Couple of questions...
What are the temp's we should expect? (We dive the great lakes so, a dry suit is the dress of choice) What is the average vis??
Looking forward to checking out the sub!!!!

Water temps should be in the upper 70s/low 80s. Vis could be anywhere from 40ft to 60+ ft.

I also have just booked our first trip out there for Sept 14...does anyone have a recommendation on where to stay. We prefer the hotels over the bunkhouse and are looking for a hotel with a bar or near some bars/restaruants. Thanks for any info...

Both of these places are pretty nice, close to the local beer joints, and close to Discovery Diving:

For anything cheaper than these places you might have to look in Morehead City or Atlantic Beach. I'd be happy to send you more info if these places aren't what you were looking for.
