Our bookkeeper, Kathy Johnson is looking for opportunities to handle bookkeeping/accounting for dive centers in the US. She is based in Michigan, but can travel to you.
Kathy has a 4 year degree in accounting and has worked as a controller for several years in the construction and health care industries. She specializes in small business bookkeeping and has helped several companies with state and federal tax nightmeres. 2 years ago she set up my entire inventory and accounting system. She has saved me thousands of dollars and she is now interested in working with other dive centers or charter companies. She can also work with independent instructors to make sure you are getting the best deductions available to you.
She has worked on several systems and she can either set up a new system for you, work with what you currently have or show you ways to make yours more efficient. We have EVE 4 and Quickbooks, and she has showed us many "tricks" to make them both work together easily. She can then continue doing your books, or show you how to do them yourself, if you choose. She can work with you weekly, monthly quarterly or annually, whichever you prefer. If you just need your taxes done once a year, she will make sure you get ALL deductions available to you.
She has several accounting systems set up on her computer so once she evaluates everything for you, she can do all your accounting from her home. Because she can do all the accounting this way, it saves you a lot of money in bookkeeping fees and allows you freedom of not paying someone full or part time to come in and do your books. Because she is a diver and knows the industry, she understands your concerns and can make your accounting nightmeres go away.
