I've heard nothing but good things from everyone about dumaguete. I'll definitely look you up once I'm down there.

I wanna check out Sumilon cause it's always used as a prime example of reef formation in my classes. :)
 
That I'm not sure of - I've heard different things from different people so it depends who you ask. Since it isn't volcanic origin, it can theorectically collapse underneath (erosion, earthquake). So even if it is expanding, it could potentially collapse due to the weight. Edit: this is me trying to remember my physical & biological oceanography...

that said, it's an excellent model to show how establishing it as an MPA was succuessful in increasing the surrounding fish populations. Lo and behold, it also showed how the time-sharing method made the fishing economy decline (cheap blow to pao :D).
