I recently completed a sidemount class. I have made a decision on which sidemount rig I want but still have to decide on tank attachment procedure. I'd like to use the Dive Rite Travel Stage Kit w/Cam Strap for this because I will be traveling to sidemount and most of my diving is shore based so I'd like to utilize the Stage Kit strap as a "handle" for moving tanks around. I've used this step up on pony tanks and it seems to work OK for that. I watched Lamar's video on using this setup which included the use of chokers. My question is when using the chokers can the bolt snap at the first stage valve be attached right to the harnesss chest d ring or does that put the lst stage to close to the body since the choker takes up the slack in the stage kit loop that goes around the first stage valve? The sidemount rig uses one continuous bungee so the stage kit will be used purely to attach the tank to the harness at the waist and to the harness chest d ring. Thanks in advance.
