Hi All -

I've put together a web page showing some dive tending in Antarctica...

http://60south.com/divepage/divetending.htm

I wish I was one of the divers. I have all the certifications (dry suit, ice diver, etc) but you need to be blessed by 'the powers that be' before they'll let you do it.

Someday I'll have to go down and cut my own hole in the ice...

Cheers,

g2

A couple years ago, we had a speaker at a dive club meeting who had done some diving in Antarctica, and the thing that shocked me most was the idea of having to defend the hole in the ice from the seals that want it. Talk about nasty overhead environments!
