Diver lost off Gloucester...Any info?

With consideration for the fine man, excellent diver, and just plain ole good guy that Paul is, as well as for those on this board that know him, let the classy and respectful decorum that this site typifies shine and may conjecture about what may have happened be held at bay until more information is known.

Five divers, from left, Don Morse of Beverly, Dave Faye of Cambridge, Paul Blanchette of Dracut, Slav Mlch of East Boston, and Bob Foster of Foxborough prepare for a diving expedition while standing on their boat in Beverly on Aug. 13. The divers explored the remains of the S.S. Portland, the paddle-wheel ship that sank in 1898, carrying 190 aboard. The ship sank during New England's worst maritime disaster.

What sad news and by all accounts a terrible loss to our community. My thoughts and prayers go out to Dave's family and his many friends.
