3 divers were very lucky today that we were out fishing. Found them way offshore drifting with no one looking for them. Be careful who you are diving with. Make sure that your divemaster is legally allowed to lead your dive. There seems to be lots of unqualified people working here now.

What happened? Post is a bit sparse on details.

Agree. Were they doing a shore dive or were they diving with an operation?

Divers were from a boat. Boat was not looking for them. Divers were floating for at least 2 hrs well offshore and and away from the Island.
Sure would be nice to know the name of the boat/shop.

Just curious - did they have SMBs / signaling devices?

Yes they had SMB. They saw our boat from distance but captain didn't spot them till he circled the area about 45 min later. Got one Mahi Mahi + 3 Divers....didnt expect to see divers out in open water...

Are you going to tell the name of the boat, captain, and operator, or protect his business so he can impose further risks? An op that screws up like this surely has other bad actions unexposed.

How can the captain not be looking for them for over 2 hours after a dive? Was he sober?
Divers were found over 2 miles from shore off where Playa Mia Beach Club is. They were drifting for quite some time already.
How can divers drift that far? It must have been a hell of a current.
