I am new and working on getting certified so maybe my question is stupid, but can you fly after diving?

There are no stupid questions... only (stupid/macho/etc) people who don't bother to ask questions.... Having asked this question may very well save your life some day, so keep asking :)

When I lived in Riyadh for two and a half years I frequently flew down to Jeddah for weekends to dive, and almost within a few hours of arriving we were in the water, never an issue.

There is no issue with diving after flying. None. Other issues raised i this thread, dehydrations, fatigue, are not tied to flying any more than a long drive, a tough day at work, and the like. Have a great early dive day.
