I am a Diver on the upper west side of Atlanta and would like to know if there are any dive sites IN georgia (IE springs or fillins) I know of Pelham Alabama which is 2 hours away are there any closer, or for that matter perhaps a LITTLE further away but better diving conditions....Thank you.

Lake Lanier can be a fascinating dive if you go to the right place. I've found all knids of stuff over by the dam.

You can also go to Lake Jocassee in SC. About 2 hours away.

Diveland Park near Anniston, Alabama great diving!. Cooper River, SC (Not for the faint of heart!), Lake Lanier, murky, muddy, full of trees.

I live in Vinings and teach at a local dive shop when I'm not out earning the rent money. Let me know if you want some info on trips we run.
