Any suggestions about diving in Thailand?

I have a client headed there next month and he wants to include some diving in his vacation.

He is an experienced open water diver. Others in his group are newly-certified. That may limit his options.

Go to Khao Lak, north of Phuket, Similan Dive Safari, ask for Joe. Season starts in October there. Good liveaboards, okay daytrips as well. Decent beach. Can go to Phuket for nightlife.
