Anyone ever dove in venice italy?? I'm thinking of making a trip there and wanted to know how it is.

Not me; I wouldn't without full HAZMAT gear anyway. It's a septic tank (all waste goes into the canals).

I have dived there and found some remarkable items under the gondola and vaporetti boarding stages -murky and muddy though, have to dive very early morning.

I wouldn't advise diving it. It is, literally, their sewer system. Everything ends up in the canal.
