I have some of this info in my google map. Kris has given you the GPS coords of the Carthaginian. You can get info for any position on my map by viewing the source code for the map.

From Ulua bear 283 deg (mag) until the Mana Kai Hotel is at 6 deg (mag). That's for using a yak. I think you go about 240 deg out from keawakapu. Good luck swimming. :sharkattack:

I haven't put the Carthaginian in the KMZ file yet though.

1/2 mile according to the newpaper when they sunk it - the pic makes it look a lot further than it does from shore I think ...

Definitely a good surface swim lol

I hear ya' Mike - I figured I'd drop some #'s when I took up Scuba ... not a chance - but gotta say that food tastes a lot better after diving it seems :p

Finally dove it!

Here's the pics:

Mark (Howard4113) and I took the kayak out there today and enjoyed a half-hour (the top of the mast is in 45', the keel in 91') touring the wreck. Not much inside yet, it seems, but there is A LOT of life around it!

Caught a parrotfish in the crowsnest, and the new "deckhands" hard at work keeping 'er clean.

Enjoyed a visit from Atlantis IV... I'm sure the people in the sub enjoyed us, too! :)

This is one dive not to miss... if you can find your way here, it is awesome. I'm certain we'll be diving it again in not too long... hopefully my arms will have recovered from the kayaking by then!
