Good day everyone!

I'm looking to buy a used BCD for travel, and I contacted this seller who's selling what appears to be a very old one.
Thanks.

It seems to be holding air in that picture. It does look well used.

Were I buying it, I wouldn't spend more than about $40 USD.

What's your budget?

The guy is demanding $100 and my budget is around the same.

It isn't worth it at all. ESPECIALLY if you don't know its condition. The thing is sooo old, it isn't worth much at all.

Post on the classified section here with:

WTB: BCD, budget around $100.

Or, save up some money and get something new from Dive Gear Express.

Keep looking. I have a bcd I need to sell but shipping to France would be cost prohibitive.

One can examine a BCD in less than 5 minutes and give it a condition status. You have to know how, not a subject to capture in writing, it’s more easily a trained & leaned skill.

I’ve seen lots of faded and rough looking rental BCDs that worked just fine…. Remember, the ballistioc nylon Cordura is just the outer-wrapper shell, not a huge part of the equation.

Blow it up all the way, check it in 10 minutes. Anything else can be fixed.

In the US, you are looking at $50, what the EU has done to save you from our US conomic structure, FIIK. $100 might be a bargain.
