Does your padi # change after DM

I just got my DM done and i am hoping to do Instructor next year, i was wondering if your padi number changes from DM to instructor (like it does before you're a padi pro)

Once you become a Pro, you are assigned a Pro number. That number stays with you even when you become an Instructor or higher (MSDT, Mi, etc).

You can tell if a Pro is brand new or an old Pro by the number of digits in the Pro number. Those with 5 digits or less have been Pros since the early 90s .
