Hi,

I have a Surveyor Nitrox and all worked fine last time I downloaded it using my laptop (Windows 2000 Professional), but when I tried recently to download the Nitrox to my laptop all appeared normal, with download proceeding through 1/3 and 2/3 but when it entered Phase 3/3 after 10 progress blocks the download stopped and I got this message:

WARNING!
[DS.SP] Error n[6]- Overflow

I hit OK and then got this message:

then

DCDS2000
Run time error '91': object variable or with block variable not set.

Yes, I did go the Mares Software website and submitted a ticket, got a quick "did you change your date" answer from tech help and then no further responses.

I did try this program on a Windows 98 machine as well. Same problem.

Any ideas?

thanks in advance,

Mitch

Hi Mitch,

I'm afraid the Surveyor computer preceeds me and my knowledge of how to download it. I believe this computer is over 10yrs old. When you say it was working previously, was that with a different O/S? I'm not going to be able to offer much assistance here, other than keep trying on the Mares software site. Wish I could help further.

Best,

Hi Zak,

Thanks for the response. Yup bought it in 2001 and it works just great EXCEPT I can no longer download it to my PC.

No changes. Same OS, same computer same everything. The interface checks out fine, as attested to by the fact that it goes through 2 of the three download progress phases and stops when it gets about one third of the way through Phase 3.

It downloads just fine until it gets to the point where the program is apparently trying to write the downloaded data to the database. I looked up the run time 91 error message and it refers to a problem in Visual Basic, the computer language which I assume the DCDS2000 program is written in.

Any further help would be appreciated.

Mitch
