Hi all,

Which apeks reg (apeks tx50 or tx100 or???) can u compare to the Zeagle DSV-ZX?

SEmms that the DSV-ZX is a good value 4 money for a tech reg.

thx for your inputs.

I know the DS-V is Zeagle's evolution/improved version of the DS4 that Apeks still sells and is still a premier regulator. I don't know how it compares to the rest of the Apeks line, except that the bench test that I have seen always list Zeagle as the top performers in all categories.

I love both of my DSV, they have a couple of hundred dives on them over a couple of years, with nothing buy annual service. Very easy breathers, and when I tune the 2nd stage right, it basically breathes for me, can't get better than that.

The DSV/ZX is a great reg. My wife and I both use them. The firsst real dives on them I took them to 130 feet and breathed as easily there as as my safety stop. They've also been in the mid 40's at 80 feet and worked great as well. I really like the adjustable inhalation knob. On our trip to Bonaire I would start each day with it in the most difficult position which is still very easy and the day progressed and I'd get a little tired, I would make it easier and easier. If they are tuned right, they will release a small trickle of airwhen you are not inhaling, almost breathing for you. I use an Envoy safe second on mine however and it breaths very easily as well.
