I've had the camera since March and just got it into the water over Christmas. We went to Sipadan/Mabul for the first time and had a fantastic trip. Given that we mostly dive Caribbean/Bonaire, there were a LOT of new critters to look at. Overall, I have to say I am very impressed with the performance of the camera. After 5+ years of shooting with an Oly C5060, I bought the E-PL2 with the Oly housing. I added the 9-18 lens with the Zen dome and brought along the the macro adapter for the 14-42 since I still have two Inon UCL 165's.
The focusing speed, even in low light, was pretty astounding compared to the 5060. It's amazing how you get really good at anticipating action with a P&S that has shutter lag. I noticed I had to wait a little longer on the fish pictures because I was shooting too fast sometimes. With a small focus light added it was very fast even in the murkiest of water. For macro I shot mostly f8 to f11 with one flash (one of the Inon's had a switch failure!) so the depth of focus was very narrow, as others have noted. The optics on the stock 14-42 II lens are pretty good. The optics on the 9-19 with the Zen dome were really impressive. Here are a few shots...
