I've been on a marathon training schedule for about 7 weeks now. I have never liked running, but I have found that increased cardio activity 4-5 times per week has benefitted me while diving. On my last dive trip, I was coming up from each dive with 900-1100psi in my tank. That's a great improvement from my previous trips, where I ended with 500-600psi, and often came up earlier than the rest of my group.

A lot of us don't have time to exercise and some of us just hate going to the gym, but knowing that cardio exercise will increase our bottom time may just be the motivation we've all been looking for.

Then again some of us would rather buy huge steel tanks than work out
