yes.... we got in 4 tanks that were coated... Blue Steel changed them out though.

Several other people had the same problem.


note this was a year or two ago and hopefully they've fixed this issue.

I haven't seen any reported occurences of this in the past year, so it appears so. But still doesn't check to hurt, regardless of who made the tank.


I don't have anything against Divers Direct, but they should have caught this before they slapped VIS stickers on the side of tanks with their names on them. Since you don't know who did the VIS there, check it yourself or take it to a place that you trust... like I said, I'd do this regardless of who made the tank.
