I purchased my booties and fins together, and the salesman assured me they fit properly. However, the PADI open water instruction book says the top of the fin pocket should come all the way up to where my foot meets my leg. This is not the case with the fins I have. My toes only go in 2/3 of the way, leaving some space in the pocket. How bad is this?

so does mine. but the fins doesn't feel like it's 'wangling' left and right, and the straps keep the fin snug, i guess that's okay for me. but then, i only do rec dives ... not sure if if does wangle when underwater since i haven't been in very silty waters.
one thing though - did you try one size up and one size down when you tried it on ? i did when i bought mine.
