FL trip questions (15-19 May)

Going to be going with the G/F to complete her OW certification, Her dive shop is going to be doing the dive at either, Devils Den or Ginnie Spring on day 1, and Blue Grotto on day 2. We have talked about staying a day or two after she is done with the course to dive some more. Was wondering where to head for the rest of the trip? Dont have to be in the Gainesville area, She had mentioned Salt water...... please help :blinking:

Panama city Florida in the pan handle, There some shallow wrecke you can dive (no over hear diving )swimimg around the ships is still cool/

Key Largo is an excellent choice as is the entire SE portion of the state. You might even consider both, dive Key Largo for a couple of days, then travel up to the Ft. Lauderdale area for both shore and boat dives. Get her some experience in different types of diving. It's silly to travel from Colorado to Florida and never dive in the ocean.

This was my thinking also, must have been the 8" snows we got yeasterday that was worrying me about water temps on the coast....

Water temps are on the rise. By mid-May I'm usually diving in a swim suit.

We will be car pooling out of the Leesburg-Eustis-Mount Dora Area in the morning for two afternoon dives. You can always stay over and dive again Sunday. Feel free to join us.
