Since you don't already have the full foot fins, and there is a clear drawback for you with them, why not just stick to OH fins and avoid the problem?
Full foot fins and waiting in line... How do you do it?

I like the discussion and potential solutions. I may indeed end up sticking with open heel fins, but I think so far the input has been valuable to me and possibly other people.
