I have a pair. Mad comfy, but the stitching at the palm came loose after like two dives.
divers do not need gloves while diving: exception ( maybe ) wrecks penetration and following a line to the surface.

Visit me and we'll see how you like 50°F water with no gloves.
I do use thin 2mm gloves (http://www.leisurepro.com/p-mrsgf2/mares-flexa-touch-2-mm-gloves). My hands get chilly but not too bad. In warm water I don't use any gloves. Most tropical venues ban them anyway.

I have since purchased two pairs of the Waterproof G1 3mm five finger gloves and they are awesome thus far. Can't attest to the longevity, but the fit, feel, and build are top notch from the little use I've experienced with them. Looking forward to wearing them for lemon shark aggregation in two weeks.
