G9 Failure

My G9 recently just stopped taking photos, the camera would take videos, but whenever I tried to take a picture, a flash icon would come-up and then nothing, the camera would lock-up... well long story short, Best Buy sent it back, Cannon said yes, it's broke replace the camera... Best Buy of course cannot get a G9 so they replaced it wit a G10 - which by the way won't fit in the G9 Cannon housing.... So no I need a new housing...

Whew, sorry about the rant but that was somewhat frustrating....so, let's start looking for a new G10 housing.

Anyone else have that type of failure on a G9?

yes sir when the G9 was discontinued I got a spare. The power on switch on my primary G9 died took it to 3rd party to get repaired.. so still have 2 but that's one of the issues with housing a camera..
