German Sub in Carribean?

Can anyone point me in the general direction of where I can find or get a listing of German subs that surrendered to US/Allied forces and where. Supposedly there was a rumor years and years ago of a sub being scuttled in our area. If this is too general please excuse, I am trying to find this info for a friend. He thinks he may have found a conning tower of a scuttled U Boat out here in the carribean. Thanks!

Sunk 15 July, 1943 in the Caribbean Sea east of Jamaica, in approximate position 15.58N, 73.44W, by depth charges from a US Mariner aircraft, P-10 (VP-32). 47 dead (all hands lost).

Peter Cremer's book, "U333", has a list in the back, which is drawn from "United States Submarine Losses" from the Naval History Division, Chief of Naval Operations.

He shows U159 sunk 15 July 1943 by aircraft from VP-32 in position 15d 58m N - 73d 44m W. The review in 1997 concluded that this was actually U759.

He shows U759 sunk 26 July 1943 by aircraft from VP-32 in position 18d 06m N - 75d 00m W. The review in 1997 concluded that this was actually U359.

The review concluded that U159 actually was sunk 28 July 1953 by aircraft from VP32 in position 15d 57m N, 68d 30m W.

Are you talking about St. Thomas or the near vicinity?
There have been rumors of a U-boat there since the 50s. Some even specifically stated it is a Type XXI boat. Some of this was perpetuated by a planned salvage of a German U-boat, but subsequent research determined the phantom vessel was actually scrapped. FWIW, the U-boat in question was the U-3008, which was stationed in Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico. Documentation reveals it was stripped, auctioned off, and scrapped.
