Google maps for Dive Sites??

I looked at about 5 or six and none had any info.. however I did see what you meant.. they do provide some very nice info for the ones that do have data.

Check out divetime.com; they are google maps based and it covers much more than FL. They also have a decent iphone application. I have used it several times with success.

This is a start, but I want to get more accurate then ......

What about virtual diving the sites then ? You can see sites in 3D ... from a diver perspective
And of course our sites have GPS info .... for every rock

BTW, if you have the simulator already installed, you can launch a virtual dive from the browser

Does ScubaBoard or anyone else have a system like the buddyfinder for sites to go to, places to dive, and/or shore walk in places?

Scubaboard has a sticky in the florida forum, insider information that lists a lot of shore dives with directions

We made a map for our sister website (all curacao diving sites). It is not completly finished but we have put all the lat longs at the sites. We also made a clickable map. This was new for us and it was very time consuming. the result is nice though, we think and hope.. Check : Clickmap

So you can either click the map or paste the lat longs in google maps to find the sites.

I have added all the dive sites for Okinawa, Japan nearly 400, using custom pins off of www.hotdive.com I like the features beyond google earth as it has dive flags and has photo's attached to the site. Anyone can use it and it is shared with everyone.

I was going to suggest WannaDive.Net as well. Their coverage is sporadic, but at least in my region they have GPS coordinates linked into Google maps to point you to pretty much any local dive site.
