Cook any devil's food boxed cake in a 9x13 pan per the instructions on the box. Allow to cool for an hour.

Use anything long, straight and not hollow (think the handle of a wooden spoon) to poke holes at regular intervals all over the cake.

Pour some Hershey's chocolate syrup into the holes.
Pour some caramel sauce into the holes.

Repeat.

Top with whipped cream.

Sprinkle broken up bits of Heath Bar Crunch on top of wipped cream.

I'm including the brand names of ingredients since that's how the recipe was given to me and that's how I prepare it. I'm sure subsititutions will be fine! :)

1 can Brook's Hot & Spicy Chili Beans

1 large head of lettuce chopped

2 large onions chopped

3 medium tomatoes chopped

1 big bag Nacho Cheese Doritos crushed (let the air out of the bag and let the kids have at it with a rolling pin!)

2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

10 oz. Wishbone Italian Dressing

Layer in container with beans on bottom then lettuce, onions, tomatoes, doritos and cheese. Pour dressing over the top. Refrigerate until cold.

Mix well before serving!

This is good because you just eat it with a fork, no messing with dipping chips! I like to top mine with a little sour cream.

Maybe this should be scuba & food board. Going to try DiveMistress salad for New Years. I have a modified version as an appetizer:

Belgian endive, leaves separated & arranged (artfully) on plate
Sliced pears (Bosc work well) - sliced, cores removed. One slice per endive leaf.
Blue cheese rolled in a small, quarter size ball, placed on pear.
Walnuts- stick one 1/2 into blue cheese ball or use walnut peices and sprinkle liberally over leaves.

Drizzle with raspberry vinagrette, I like Ken's brand Low-fat, Walnut Raspberry.

Eat with fingers.

i can't wait to try yours, jersey! thanks for the recipe.

Good thread Dee. I'm always looking for more quick recipes!
Here's one of mine.

Make this and serve this in an electric fry pan, or electric wok, so you can plug it in, and serve it hot when you get there. If you don't have one, put it in an oven pan, so you can pop it in the oven and serve hot.

Shrimp Fried Rice

One box of minute rice, or Brown rice cook first set aside.

A bunch of green onions chopped
A can of Water Chestnuts
A can of baby corn
A large handful of pea pods
A package of pre cooked baby shirmp or Jumbos
A large bottle of soy sauce.

Stir fry all ingredients in peanut oil or olive oil
Add rice.
Enjoy!

Your is similar to ours but a few changes are:

We use ground turkey or beef as a change from shrimp.
Use Soy Sauce to taste....too much makes it too salty.
Soft scramble 4 eggs and add to rice first to finish cooking, then add other ingredients.

I'm gonna have to try the brown rice!
