Is it possible to know the difference between GN (Guide Number) and W/S (Watt per Second)
I noticed that the DS160 and DS-200 have the same GN but different W/S so i would like to know where the difference is.
Can you also communicate me the GN of the DS-125 as i can't find that information anymore.

Thanks and best regards

Chris Karrer

The DS200 has a wider angle of coverage so it's light output is spread over a wider area. If it had the same angle of coverage as the DS160, it would have a higher guide number.

Watt-seconds are a measure of total stored flash energy. Guide number is a measure of flash intensity. If you take a flash with a given number of watt-seconds and narrow the angle of coverage, it will make the flash more intense and the guide number will go up.

The guide number for a DS125 is 32.

Thanks Jean for your quick response,
now the difference between watt/seconds and Guide Number is clear to me.
The Guide Number of 32 is underwater/land and feet or meter.
Sorry my questions, but i would like to understand what i have and use.
