leadweight once bubbled...

Northern Diver has the X-wing, but that requires mail order from the UK and some DIY work to punch holes in it. [/B]

leadweight,
without sounding too stupid-can you explain this to me a bit more to me? i am assuming your punching holes in the wing so it can be attached to the backplate somehow. i would like to know what is the "proper technique" to make the holes, how to align it correctly, and what/how to secure the two together. any advice is appreciated.

thanks
christopher

See http://www.ndiver.com.au/accessories.php?category=2 for the wing. Its as simple as using a punch or soldering iron and burn two holes in the wing and clamp it to your backplate under a STA.

I don't know how to do it myself, but if you do a search there are some posts on it. Yes the holes are for the bolts to go through the STA, wing and BP.

If you are really interested in this contact bob3 or fredt from the board as they have done several of these and can tell you more about it.

FWIW, someone recently posted a thread about Zeagle backplates.

I wouldn't trade my Halcyon for anything, but this stuff doesn't look bad.

I've got no idea what it costs.
