hello, I just purchased an MK16 550. When I hooked it up and sucked my first breath, the 1st stage makes like this sound. it sounds like there are a bunch of little mettle balls inside being blown around the the balls are hitting the side. Is this normal? wll it go away after I break it in?

Thanks

It didn't sound that way new, and it doesn't sound that way now, with a couple hundred dives on it.

Frankly, I would have a Scubapro certified tech look at it before trusting it with my life.

Are you talking about how it sounds in air?
A lot of very good regs sound likr cr@p breathing in air. Thats not what they were designed for.
Fill up your bathtub, & test it under water.
If you hear anything weird sounds under water have it checked out.
