It is with a heavy heart that I write this. I read early this evening that Jim Church passed way today. Even though I didn't get the chance to meet him - I so wanted to take a Live Aboard trip with him - I feel I will be a better u/w photographer just having his instruction and books available.

I read about it on www.digitaldiver.net at the Forum.

Let's all keep him and his family and family of friends in our thoughts. Look to the Ocean and raise a glass in his honor.

The u/w photography community lost a good citizen. I never met Jim Church but I've learned alot from him. He'll be sorely missed.
