Hello Diving!.. from Asia

Hi all, just got my OW certification last weekend! very excited... there'll be an Asia Dive Expo in Singapore this weekend and i'm wondering if it's a good bargain hunting ground for dive equipment during expos.

Hi pucwei! I'm from SEA...well Asia as well. I sure envy you for having the time to go the the expo. See you around SB! Maybe you could post what you see and find / buy as well as learn from attending the Asia Dive Expo. I'll only be able to learn about it when Asian Diver covers it. See you around.

pucwei, in the past, ADEX has not been known for having great deals on the latest equipment. It has been more of a show to advertise the latest gear, rather than sell it directly. Having said that, some companies have used the expo for dumping old stock / styles at fairly cheap prices. Additionally, some resorts have advertised specials if you sign up at ADEX. Again, it's more of big advertisement with seminars rather than a warehouse sale. It's still worth going to, IMHO.

thanks for the reply! yes, will post what i've seen. well, it's only a 3 hour bus ride for me to Singapore and currently i'm quite free, am looking forward to the expo, i'll probably take some pics too!
