Hello from Taiwan!

A newbie saying "Hi" all the way from Taipei!

Actually, I am a displaced Brit who has been living in Asia for 5 years.
Looking forward to some more diving in Thailand and Malaysia.

Welcome to Scuba Board, Rachel. You've been to diving places most divers only dream of, you lucky girl.

I've been to Taipei once and all I can say is they have the some of the best dumpling!!!! I could spend days in the National Palace Museum without every getting bored, especially in the scroll and the jade room.

I've decided to head back to Phuket in Nov (lack of finances notwithstanding!).
Can't get any dive centres to certify me in AOW here in Taiwan. Seems to be that they take club bookings and not individuals. :-(

So, it's back to Phuket!! LOL Hardship, eh??

Welcome to the board. You have a great area to dive in. Nothing wrong with being displaced if you enjoy where you are at, especially with spectacular diving.

Any dive shop in Taiwan can certify your AOW, I don't know who you talk to, but if you are interested you can join us. I usually will be at the NE coast 88K every weekend, ask for Cruiser Diving or Cathy, or you can contact me for more information.
