After the sporty weather last week, I dove yesterday with Coral Restoration Foundation at the nursery...and the day was gorgeous, water was clear, 84 deg, very mild surface current and very mild 1ft-ish seas.

We got a break with Chantal and look like things are going to be very nice coming up.

I'm so jealous! Sure wish it was like that last week. However, dining with you and NetDoc was certainly the highlight of our week! When we were on Molasses last week, we saw some of the coral that was planted and tagged. How cool.... We'll have to come back to Key Largo and help out in the nursery!

Islanddream, we really enjoyed the evening. It's always fun meeting SBers. Next time, do plan on some time with Coral Restoration. It is so much fun and very fulfilling to work in the nursery or plant baby corals and then later see the fruits of your efforts growing on all of our local reef.

PS thanks for taking that yucky weather front back home with you.

Here's how the Keys are, they got a white swimming around :) FWIW, the seas look good and it doesn't appear to raining. Even if it was raining, that wouldn't stop me from diving.

Saw that - damn, where was that beauty over the weekend? Would have loved to see it on the Vandenburg.

I wish I could've taken the rain home with me. All we get is wind and dust storms! I'm really hoping when we go to Jupiter in August we'll have pristine diving conditions. However, diving last week in the Keys did teach me a few things. 1) I can navigate using my compass while "braille" diving 2) I can climb back on a boat in 7' seas and 3) I can puke in my regulator underwater and not kill myself! I really don't want to practice any of those lessons again :nope:!!!!

We are in Florida and it's summer. There's a 50% chance of rain and thunderstorms EVERY day. We go to work in tropical storm conditions, even grocery shopping.

I wonder why no in water shots:rofl3:

I'll be on Capt Gary's boat in the morning. I am only hearing GREAT things about the conditions right now. It was a good thing that Chantal changed her travel plans so my student, aeweems12 didn't have to! :D :D :D
