I saw this while diving near Cancun at about 45 ft, have not been able to find it out what it is. Thanks for any info.

Ty- I have always known it by what you called it, but it was spelled differently... Blooflat Fish.

:clearmask: That's what my sister actually called them when we were kids!
 
Wow - never seen one that color. Pretty. The ones I have seen are always very pale with spots you can hardly see.

I learnt about it early in my diving experience in Bonaire (2006). It certainly warned you to keep out from getting too close by raising its spike.
 
I was afraid to open a PDF from an internet forum, glad to see the wikipedia post though.
