Wow thanks for such a warm welcome everyone 
Jivemaster- in response to your query about NZ working/immigration, I'm not all to sure about the extremes of difficulty, I know you can get work visas and from there once you apply for citizenship it's fairly easy, but you do have to pay and go throgh all the loops.
Does anyone know much about diving in Thailand? I'm looking at heading there.
What I really want to know is how much money you should take and good spots to go.
Any help would be much appreciated

If you haven't yet, click Forums above and start going thru the list - looking for those of interest to you, especially your local dive club. Always good to try a Search before starting a new thread, tho
