Hi all. New diver here. I got certified through Peninsula Diving Center in Mountain View, CA last week. I did my open water diving at the Breakwater in Monterey.

My instructor through the course was Cynthia Smith, who is a great teacher. I highly recommend her and pendive (www.pendive.com). Doug and his crew are great folks!

I'll be doing my first boat dive on the Monterey Express this Monday! I'm also hoping to dive in two weeks out of Beaufort, NC, if I can find a boat that will take me somewhere fit for a novice.
