How to get from Cancun to Cozumel

We (4 of us) are flying into Cancun and staying 3 nights at the Sun Palace and then plan to spend 5 nights at the Cozumel Palace. We will fly home from Cozumel. We have transfers from the airport to the sun place and the Cozumel palace back to the Cozumel airport. BUT, we need to get from the sun palace to the Cozumel palace. So…. Shuttle or bus to Playa and then the ferry and then need recommendations for how to get to the palace?? The Transferr were arranged by the travel agent. The travle agent package was better than what I could do on my own.

Sun Palace may have a shuttle to Playa, or taxi.
Cabs to playa will drop you off about a block away from ferry pier as thats as close as vehicles can get. If you have multi bags there are guys with bike carts that will lug them for you for a few bucks.

Once in Coz its 8 blocks to the palace from the pier, taxi is the way to go. No bus in Coz. Taxi would be $3 for two to the palace plus tip.

BTW the Playacar Palace is right next to the Pier in Playa del Carmen. There may well be a hotel shuttle from the Sun Palace. Also there are multiple tour ops that may be cheaper than taxi. Check with the Sun when you get there. 24 hour advance is no problem to make reservations. Or if you go back to airport you can get the ADO bus to Playa for $9 each
