Hello all. Just got certified this summer on Vancouver Island in Canada. I certified in dry suit so that I can spend my time warm during cold water diving all around the Island. My son is getting certified soon. Looking forward to a whole new world of water.

You are doing it thre right way, at least for here - dry right out of the chute.
Now you can go play with the sea lions on Hornby this winter.
You are lucky that your son wants to dive - my daughters want nothing to do with it....
