Never thought of it like that. I will give you full credit for the phrase every time I use it.
 
At first I thought "WTF is this about?" Took me a day but then I got it.

I then realized that is also the answer for the up kick, and the down kick and the left and right horizontal kicks.

The first time I really got the mechanics behind the backward kick was watching Chris LeM in Carwash. He was very close to the bottom (an inch or 2) and he would disturb the bottom with his back kicks. That's when I realized that the back kick has to start from the mid-line or below, and not from up high like a regular frog kick.
