Great mole at Costa Brava (not the hotel on Rafael of the same name) It is a restaurant about a block north of Senor Frog's and then east 1/2 block. There is always someone making hotdogs on the corner at night. Tons of dishes between 80 and 120 pesos.

I'd like El Foco better if the TV was not so loud.

Try the lime soup at Cafe Denis.
Guidos is good and not as pricey as it looks.

Ernesto's as soon as I get off the dive boat. Ceviche, cervesa, tacos on the watervwith a sea breeze. I'm ready to go!

There are two reasons I love Coz...the diving and the food!

My favorite places to eat are Kinta and La Cocay....followed by the Argentina Empanada place that I can never remember the name of and The Mission.

Where do ya'll like to eat dinner?

Mmmm... the empanada place is one of my favourites too. It's called Parilla Del Sur on the corner of 5 and 3 (just up from the new - and totally awesome - chocolate shop). LOVE the Del Sur empanada!

I have heard of most of the restaraunts, but where is La Misson and Kinta. We like Primas II the best.
Kinta is a couple of blocks north of the plaza on the street that runs parallel to Melgar one block inland. There are three Missions.

An old favorite of ours that no one seems to mention is El Casino, right on 5th ave. next to El Foco. The place is a hole in the wall that looks like nothing more than a bar, but they have some of the best Cuban food on the island and is surprisingly cheap for what you get. Their ropa vieja is a particular favorite of mine, and I love their yuca and fried plaintains also. They used to serve a Cuban combination platter which was out of this world, but I didn't see it the last time I was there. Maybe this time? Alex the owner is a great guy who always seems to recognize me when we come back, and he reportedly makes the best mojito on the island. In fact, the other name of this place is La Casa Del Mojito. Give it a try. Woody

The short list:
Blue Angel
'OHana Cafe & Bar
Guido's
Rock-n-Java
Ernesto's
The Museum
Casa Denis
Coconut's
Rasta's
The Parillia Mission (on 30th not sure if I spelled it right)
Jeanie's
Pancho's Backyard
Sonora Grill
Le Chef
Especias
Kinta
La Veranda...

I think I have 22 "must do's" on our restaurant list in my travel journal.

I must admit, I have never tried Casa Dennis in all my trips.....is it as good as I hear? Always seemed too touristy on the square...

I think the spaghetti en costra at Sorrisi is pretty awesome. I've been back for it once, and look forward to having it again.

Other than that, I haven't had a meal on the island that has really stood out for me. Not meant as a knock, I just don't feel that dining is Cozumel's strong suit.

DSFDF. Some of my favorite eateries are on Cozumel.
