Hi All:

The FIRST dive of the season (for me) on the "Ice Barge" wreck, an unidentified late 19th century wreck in about 55 FSW. Solid copper and brass artifact recovery by Trey and Bobby.

And YES, in case you hear, I lost a fin while tying in (gee, that rhymes) and tore my wrist seal while eating hot dogs.

BUT, it was a FINE day at sea (AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!)....

Was this wreck up north off the southern part of the Eastern Shore?

Nice find Bobby. Can you post some pics after you clean it up?

Trey actually took it home & when he gets it clean I'm sure it will be no problem getting pictures. He is going to keep the large section of pipe with the flange assembly & I will get the compression fitting just down from the flange & probably the bent section of pipe that will need to be cut off to get the fitting off.
He has a Gazebo that he needs some Nautical themed artwork for & I really don't have room for something so large.

Nice! It sounds like a very cool wreck site to explore. There's probably many more artifacts in the sand. How much of the wreckage was still intact?
