mine also says timed out, should iI try G2 or attach it to a tank?

Dear Costarica, firstly we need to know if you have the old type transmitter or the replacement new version??
The old one has no markings on it at all, if its this type it does not need to be attached to a tank and presurised however, the battery life was terible due to not powering down, even when not used for a while.

The new replacement version looks the same but has CE & serial number markings on the end where the stainless steel thread is, this type does now power down completely and does need to be presurised to be able to pair with your wrist unit.

My old type transmitter lasted around fifteen diving hours before I got the "low Bat" message, make sure you have your unit changed over for the newer version.

Hope it helps.
