Icon HD wrist strap

This sounds like a silly question in my head, but what do you do with the extra part of the strap that hangs off when you have it on your wrist?

I have like 6-8inches hanging over that seem like they will get in the way when I take it diving next week...

Hi,
Well I'm afraid I don't have a great solution. It is possible to trim off a little excess strap. I'd be cautious about trimming too much, in the event you switch to thick wetsuit or drysuit. Perhaps tying very thin bungy to strap so it will act as a retainer for the strap? I just tuck mine under the strap.

What is the purpose of the little neoprene "patch" looking thing that comes in the box?

This is meant to be placed on the underside of the computer if you have a small wrist, or are diving with out neoprene over the wrist. It is a comfort pad.. Simply run each side of the straps through the loops, positioning the pad under the computer..

Well I will be taking it out Friday for its first dive so we will see how it does being tucked back under the strap

i hope you never decide to dive with a much thicker wetsuit or even a drysuit. Might not fit over the wrsit. How do you like it though? i love mine.

i finally got a chance to dive with it yesturday and it was a perfect fit without having to tuck any of the strap back. But when I move to hawaii I can see it being a problem diving with it without such a thick wetsuit!
