Dear skubakat:
You will note that in several of the cases, excessive strain and exertion was mentioned. In the other cases, one cannot be sure. Dr. Deco has indicated in these FORUMS that this type of activity leads to the formation of tissue micronuclei which can grow in the off gas portion of the dive.
Tissue nuclei formation is not covered by deco computers and must be a part of the divers activities. The one fellow who ran for several miles post dive was setting himself up for an accident. The fellow who carried equipment from the car to the shore several time was a time bomb :boom:
All activities during decompression in NASA studies always involve the actual activity levels that will be followed by the astronauts. It has been know for decades that reduced activity during depress is protective and increased activity is DCS provoking. All real tests involve activity to simulate the actual conditions in operations. RECREATIONAL DIVERS, on the other hand, can benefit themselves by reducing their activity on the boat (since they are not involved in commercial activities).
