He is becoming quite the toddler and is further refining the cuteness:

And his evil twin is exploring the darkside and planning to take over the universe...or maybe running for public office.

ok, baby jameson update! or should i say 'toddler jameson' or even 'pre-teenager jameson'...

<--- see avatar for piccer.

he's 3 today!

physically, he's caught up to everything he should be doing except jumping. that's something that some typically-developing kiddos have problems with, too, so no biggie. plus, he's getting a little trampoline with handle today. so we'll be fixing that deficit... :D

medically, he's off every med except some synthroid for hypothyroidism, and vitamins. his synthroid dose went *down* last endocrinologist visit, and she's expecting to be able to trial him off next visit in 4-6 months. he poops usually several times a day, normal looking poop, and except for some ugly scars that will win him drinks in bars you'd never know anything different had happened. his lungs don't seem to be particularly fragile - he's had several colds and not been hospitalized, no lingering asthma-type stuff, nada.

growth & development - he's behind. growth, he's 3rd percentile. that means of other three year old boys, 97% are taller than he is. but his velocity of growth is good, and his insulin-like growth factors are normal, so right now the endocrinologist is thinking he'll catch up on his own. speech is delayed with the expressing himself part. he has a wonderful vocabulary and knows his alphabet and recognizes all capital letters and numbers and colors, but asks for things in a very specific way - as if we're asking him. so if he wants some milk, he says 'want some milk?' his speech therapist (the only therapy he still gets!) thinks that's an intelligent child using phrasing as a crutch until he catches up to himself as opposed to a child on the autism spectrum who might do similar things for different reasons. but he's starting to be able to answer questions about what people in books or on tv are doing, and that's a big thing. he's in preschool two days a week, one of the older in days but average in development, so that should encourage him along, too. and it will be three days a week after christmas.

he's very loving, eats *everything!*, likes to play outside, wants to be read to incessantly, likes elmo & dora & other nick jr shows, goes to sleep without a lot of fuss most nights, and is the amazing light of my life. thank you all for the support you showed us on his early journey. even though they were 'just pixels & thoughts' and might have felt like not enough, the words & thoughts truly were helpful.
