I called a couple, the Red Lion Bed and Breakfast sounds nice and they provide a full breakfast for 95 a night. The Mt Toxavery Lodge and Inn runs about 55 a night but I have no idea what they look like.

I vote for the B and B.

I checked the cabins at the park, they are all booked.

Money sent to Bill, just counting down the days to the Wall!

I pretty much looking for somewhere to sleep. It would just be me and I don't want to pay alot to just sleep. Maybe I will check out "A Nice Little Motel"!

Anybody got a number for "A Nice Hotel"?

here is the link to A Nice Little Hotel :D : http://www.discoversouthcarolina.com/products/1821.aspx

Also, here is another really nice, clean place very close by:
Laurel Mountain Inn: http://www.discoverourtown.com/SC/Pickens/Lodging/37111.html

I have stayed at Laurel Mountain Inn. I haven't stayed at the Little Hotel, but I have heard it's nice.

Here is the Sunrise Farm (the closest of the 3):

Then, of course, there is primitive camping at Bill's :blinking:

Something else to think about at a later date is staying in one of the villas at Devil's Fork State Park, right on Lake Jocassee. Beautiful cabins, completely furnished, for a ridicuously low price per night. Usually requires a 2-night stay, I think, and you have to book a couple of months ahead of time (sometimes). http://www.southcarolinaparks.com/park-finder/state-park/1355.aspx

For those of you who are trimix certified, you can check into Attakulla Lodge - South Carolina's only underwater hotel and my :smilie_ho

Who all is going. My drysuit is back at USIA for work and to be honest I'm not sure if I can or want to dive Jocassee in water that cold w/o my drysuit. I know alot of you all are diving wet but when you've been diving dry for a year and a half it's kinda hard to think about cold water diving "wet" again.

Bill rents dry suits, I believe that they are $25 per day.
