My wife and I did our first full blown night dive in Lake Jocassee Friday night July the 4th.

It was definitely a knew experience (had done several low vis dives) although a little apprehensive at first, everything soon settled down. It was very interesting feeling what was going on instead of seeing it (we turned our lights off for one minute to experience absolutely no light). Maintaining buoyancy is a little more difficult without the normal references to go by. We had fun though.

The most interesting part of the experience was that the fireworks show was going on while we were diving. You could actually hear the explosions and I swear that I felt a couple of them as well:mean: .

As much fun as that was I'm sure that night diving in tropical waters is even more fun.:)
