If you have dived the wrecks of Truk Lagoon or diving Truk (Chuuk State, Micronesia) is on your bucket list, here's something that should interest you.
I am publishing the biography of the founder of the diving in Chuuk, "Witness to War: Truk Lagoon's Master Diver Kimiuo Aisek." This hard cover book will be ready for the 40th anniversary of Blue Lagoon Dive Shop (Nov. 13, 2013) AND the 70th anniversary of Operation Hailstone (Feb. 17-18, 2014). Proceeds from the book will also support the Kimiuo Aisek Memorial Museum, to encourage the restoration, display AND return of artifacts from Truk's ships.
Many divers have returned my post cards to order the book, but this is the only way to obtain a copy: through Kickstarter.com Witness to War
My Kickstarter campaign ends Sept. 18th, and as of Sept. 4th, in only 3 weeks, we have received pledges for 74% of the $20,000 goal. Kickstarter is all-or-nothing, so please consider pledging, and share this link with others.
