Love the progress so far and the action shots.Just need to know about available lodging and here I come! Might try AirBnB to see what is available in Key Largo. Are the available hotel rates high or low compared to this time last year?

Call Rainbow Reef at 305-451-5533 the folks who answer are up to date with the rates for several local hotels such as the Marriott, Key West Inn, and others.

Both of them are running, the Holiday Inn is also open.

Most restaurants are open - some are still getting ready.

Key Largo, overall was blessed as there was just not a lot of destructiion, there was damage, limbs down, signs blown down, some old not to code structures were damaged.

If you listen to CNN, ABC, NBC as usual you will get news that is wrong.

We are open and waiting on customers . We took a look at the reefs on Saturday with the crew
and things look fine , a little different . The fish were happy to see the divers and of course we were
happy to see them . Boat and shop are in good shape and we just need visitors ! All of the hotels in
Port Largo are up and running . Call your favorite dive shop and book a trip ! Check out our Facebook
page as we posted a short video of our trip out to the reef .

Nice to learn that you are back up and running dives.

Hope that all the Divers on this board will revisit their favorite spots in the Keys.

The water looks great, but does anyone have any current underwater pics of a couple of the dive sites on the reefs? Any before/after shots would be great. Thank you.

Went out today in the Tavernier/Islamorada area. Many navigational aids and spa balls missing. Hens and chickens pretty muddy but it is in shore.
Dove Davis reef which I have dove almost a hundred times.
Viz was a dusty 20/25 feet, fish life was thick like pre irma.
Green morays all over the place. No obvious structural reef damage.
That being said the reef was covered with sand and it had a yellowish tinge to it.
I took pixs and will post tomorrow.
All in all this reef held up and the paling had definitely subsided also
There was also some debris off the reef anchors and wooden planks.

Great! Molasses this afternoon was sporting 40-50 feet of visibility with slight current headed to the northeast.

Quiescence Diving is said to be going out with divers now. We're set to dive with them in early November.
